I was just doing my usual routine for the wiki - checking out merchandise images, you know. When one of the international books (that isn't due for release until March) caught my eye. Why? Because of this guy(?) in the corner:
I'll see if I can get a bigger image, otherwise I'll post the full picture I have. Anyway though, could this be Ono's idol or a character from S2? They seem a bit too detailed to be a random background character. We certainly get a Rafiki-vibe from them.
Looks awesome! I thought his idol would be another bird. I guess we'll learn more in the future!
Since we're on the subject, I wanted to point out that in the Disney Color and Play book, there is one page with some strange birds that we haven't seen on the show yet...
Those birds are pretty interesting!
This reminds me of Meet the New Guard - we found out about Mtoto a couple of weeks before he was actually shown in Follow that Hippo!. Looks like books have a habit of leaking new info first.

BTW, that's definitely a female character; she has winged eyelashes like Fuli, Kiara, etc.
Yep, you're right! I can't wait to find out more about her.
Now that I think about it, she HAS to be from Season 1. Why would they release a book as early as March of this year if it was for Season 2? We haven't seen her in the show yet and there's one more episode left. Either she's Ono's idol, or will just appear in the episode.
It would be kinda odd to have a one-time or minor character on a cover with the rest of The Guard, so maybe she'll also play an important part in Season 2? What if she somehow joins the team or becomes and honorary member? xD

I'm wondering the same as you! I like the idea of her being very important somehow. I think France have only just aired Lions of the Outlands today, so they still have a few more episodes to catch up with, and that book could be released on the day of their finale. Just speculating, of course!

There's too things I've been wondering about TLG for a while
1. Why do other countries not have the same schedule as us?
2. Why hasn't any character said "I love you" yet
1. Not sure for other English speaking countries. It's been that way for many, many years. For non-English speaking countries, it's probably due to the dubbing process.
2. Probably because it's geared towards preschoolers who aren't interested in that kind of thing, and there hasn't been a real need for it anyway.
While I was at Target today looking for bling bags(of course they didn't have them), I came across the game Protect the Pride Lands. I looked on the back of it and saw some unreleased hyenas, vultures, and cobras that are definitely worth taking a look at.
I do wonder if we'll see the cobras eventually. After all, Kion mentioned them back in Bunga the Wise. The vultures... I hope we'll see a few more in season 2. Their designs here (plus that other one we saw in RotR) are really nice.

Phil Collins Testify song, A lagoon made of vines and plants, Banana Hunt On The Southern Coast, An African Zodiac formed by Joyful Rafiki and this Swinging Jazz Party Cousin of his, or that's how cute and entertaining I consider this other monkey on the book's cover in its colorful appearance! Rafiki and this other monkey would look cool on Yin Yangs We Are One, Circle Of Life In Upendi, Giving Yourself Giving Each Other The Strength To Be One Another, Through My Eyes. These two would be interesting jungle friends for sure. I'd say it's a female relative of Joyful Rafiki's!
HAHA when I said banana hunt I'm really talking about this monkey and Rafiki doing it like we do our Easter egg hunting..............
Well I'd say currently keep this cute colroful monkey off recent toy items however why not let her be on a velvet poster or some other coloring sheet having fun with Rafiki up in the jungle trees, when season 2 finally starts.........
I was looking for research in the lion guard of the rise of scar, if doesn't know what kind a crazy monkey is, if reminds me it's must be a Red Colobus Monkey.

This supermarket's name is "Biedronka". You're right, it means "ladybug". But I don't think it has anything to do with the character's name.
Yeah, you're probably right. She may have a different name.
Rafiki has always been credited as a baboon in the films, even though mandrills are not actually a type of baboon (albiet closely related). Real mandrills have very short tails.
It's their face shape that confuses people, that's just like the easiest ways to tell the apes apart is stomach size or height. These TV mandrills also aren't the real mandrill colors when we compare fur. But they're cute and fun.
I think it could be her. It looks like she could be one of the more popular S2 characters (I mean... She's on 2 merchandise items already, that's more than Jasiri).

I'm almost positive that we now know her name: Makini.
I'd like to request that people refrain from adding her image to the article just to be sure, but I really don't have any doubt in my mind that she is indeed Rafiki's apprentice!
Too cutely drawn to be leftout! Rafiki privately dancing with this character in a palm or in a wide branched tree that stands near palm trees in the jungle is what keeps repeating in my vision of them, Rafiki and Makini.Â
This Makini I keep picturing as a expert party leader right now I'm even picturing Makini once in a while preparing big celebration assisting Zazu eh?? But family celebrations with Rafiki. Or even musical trio marching and leaping TREE PARADE OF MAKINI??????????
Zazu sings, Makini does a jungle instrument, and Rafiki dances leading others.
On the Disney Junior channel. I usually watch the channel, uh, just for The Lion Guard of course and they have been giving lots of promos. For the voice actor of Makini I found that information on the Disney Wiki.

At Walmart. It's a pretty nice card that includes stickers, a color-in poster, and a huge poster of Pride Rock. I would have bought it but it was almost $5, which is a bit pricey in my opinion.

Yikes, that is a bit expensive... The last TLG card I saw was £2, and that came with a badge. I guess it's the poster that drove the price up?
I saw her again in the Rise of Scar promo. She seems to be that cheerful and optimistic character who wants to prove to Rafiki she can be a good apprentice.
I'm not sure where to post this, so thought I would do it here.
I'm not positive, but I'm 80% sure that there are two new episodes available to watch on the Disney Junior app. I wasn't available to check because I have Sling, which isn't an available provider to enter on the app. But if you have a cable provider, check it out, because I'm curious.

you mean ones we haven't heard about.
Yes, I mean ones that haven't aired, but like I said, I'm not sure.
