Wildebeests, also known as gnus, are antelopes that appear in The Lion Guard universe. They live in the Pride Lands.
Appearance[]
Blue wildebeests are members of the antelope family. They have striped brown fur and two curved horns atop their heads. They also have a ridge of hair running along their back and chest.
Information[]
Wildebeests live in large herds consisting of males, females and their young. They are common prey for predators such as lions and hyenas.

The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar[]
A wildebeest is among the terrified Pride Landers shown in the song Tonight We Strike.
Bunga the Wise[]
Bunga gives advice to some wildebeests during the song Bunga the Wise.
Eye of the Beholder[]
The Lion Guard are out in the middle of a wildebeest stampede, attempting to locate Janja and other members of his clan. Kion manages to push Janja into a wildebeest, which sends the hyena into the air and flat on his face. The hyenas retreat after Janja claims he's "had enough".
Janja's New Crew[]
After a storm leaves the Pride Lands in a state, Janja plans to use the mud to his advantage, hoping that the Lion Guard will constantly slip before they reach him as he attacks the wildebeests. However, he slips down the mud hill himself instead. Cheezi and Chungu then reveal his plan to eat the wildebeests, before Kion uses his Roar of the Elders to propel them out of the Pride Lands.
Beshte and the Hippo Lanes[]
Some wildebeests can be seen passing through Beshte's new Hippo Lane at the end of the episode.
Battle for the Pride Lands[]
Some Wildebeests appears in the Gorge. During When I Led the Guard since Scar finally murdered Mufasa.
