He loves and follows her wherever she goes.
When he became separated from her when they went through the unfinished Hippo Lanes, he is only truly relieved when reunited with her.

Not much is known but Bupu does care for Boboka's son very much that he was willing to listen the Lion Guard and move to higher ground.

Kion appears to be on good terms with Boboka's Son after saving him in the Hippo Lanes. He is relieved when the cub finally locates him, and trusts that Kion will get him back to his mother safely.

Boboka's son loved watching the The Traveling Baboon Show. When they stole the food he felt betrayed just like all of the other animals.
